Hipstery Journal

Our favourite moments of the year

Rikard: That would have to be the day I finally left my my cave, mounted my trusty stead Perupatat and with my favourite secretary cantered to Berlin. There I finally (I had supported, well carried really the whole project the previous six months while working only from home, having never actually met Dr Willem or Bjarni) met the rest of the team. In Berlin I saw the sun (which I had always considered mythical), and met Dr Von Tinkel in his glass shelter. I also tickled his goat until she bleated, which was just a lovable moment in a picture postcard sort of way.

Bjarni: The great coke for shirt exchange of July 2011.  A magical moment when I was reunited with my cola love – Hancock Sport cola. Two outstanding, kind and noble patrons brought it with them all the way from Denmark. They were rewarded with Hipstery attire and a night on the town with Dr Tinkel, which was supposed to be pleasant but was probably awful, since he’s the personality of a dishcloth. Oh well…

Budge: Dan Burman. The man, the legend. After all that work, all the pent up hopes and dreams and then a few hours of silence……silence until Dan Burman. Ah Dan, often I still think of you during my lonely nights. I also appreciate that the Hipstery offers a legitimate reason to scavenger hunt for Pipes, old photos, hosenträger, comic books and of course – cool shirts. That’s pleasant. No doubt.

Dr Willem: Every time we get a nice mail or mention from people. All those small moments are little golden treasures of bliss. Then of course there are the big moments born from all the hard work you do in the small moments, like the day we made Spiegel. Hundreds of orders came flooding in and I nearly wept with joy. It was a busy weekend, all four of us were hear spraying, packing, stamping, picking, eating, sleeping, doodling, dancing. Many things. All fun.

In general its been a very fun year. Thanks again to all of you for the large part you played in that. Up tomorrow we’ll do the glass half empty version of this post – our favourite of the various insults hurled at us by non-believers.
